Week of Compassion
Week of Compassion is the relief, refugee and development Mission fund of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in the United States and Canada. Each year in February, congregations collect a special offering for Week of Compassion. Funds received allow the Church to respond to disaster when it occurs, enabling Week of Compassion to immediately provide grants for urgent needs like emergency supplies, water and food. Special Offering is a time when communities come together to lift up and celebrate this important work that we do together.
Micro-Loan Program
The Micro-Loan Program provides small, low-cost loans to the poor as a way to help families rise from poverty in the world's least-developed countries. When you empower individuals to start/grow their businesses, they have an opportunity to secure their families’ finances and create pathways toward education and improved quality of life for their children. FCCVA contributes funds to the Micro-Loan program.
